Financial Information – Future Faculty Fellow Program

The Future Faculty Fellows (FFF) Program is designed to both attract outstanding students to Temple University and to diversify the American professoriate. While already a national leader in the training of graduate students from traditionally underrepresented groups, including ethnic minorities and women, Temple University is committed to doing all it can to diversify its graduate population and the professoriate. Candidates are newly admitted graduate students from underrepresented groups in the applicant's discipline who show exceptional leadership and/or have overcome significant obstacles in pursuing an academic career.

Established in 1987, the FFF Program provides funding and maintains a support and information network for Future Faculty Fellows. Awards are currently made as follows:

• For doctoral students in the Sciences:
  First and Fourth Year* = $23,000 Annual Stipend, Health Insurance, and Full Tuition** (12 months)
• For doctoral students in the Arts, Business, Education, Health Professions, Humanities, and Social Sciences:
  First and Fourth Year* = $21,000 Annual Stipend, Health Insurance, and Full Tuition** (12 months)
• For students in Master of Fine Arts programs:
  First Year*** = $18,000 Annual Stipend, Health Insurance, and Full Tuition** (12 months)

* Second and Third Years of study are funded by the department.

** "Full Tuition" covers those courses outlined in the awardee's program of study.
*** Second Year of study is funded by the department.
