From Whom: Letters of recommendation should be obtained from former and current professors who can provide insight into the applicant's abilities and talents and can comment on the applicant's aptitude for graduate study. If already working in the field, the applicant may include letters from professional colleagues.
Coursework Required for Admission Consideration:
All applicants must present credentials that are the equivalent of the appropriate baccalaureate degree at Temple University.
Bachelor's Degree in Discipline/Related Discipline:
Applicants must have a baccalaureate degree and/or initial teacher certification in one of the following content areas or a related discipline: agriculture education, business education, family and consumer sciences education, industrial education, marketing education, or technology or technical education.
Statement of Goals:
The Statement of Goals should be approximately 500-1,000 words in length and should indicate your goals and objectives for obtaining a master's degree and advanced certification in the content area for which you are applying. The statement should also include the following elements: your specific interest in Temple’s program; your research goals; your future career goals; and your academic and research achievements.
Standardized Test Scores:
The GRE/MAT is required. It is expected that the scores will generally be at or above the 50th percentile.
Minimum TOEFL score needed to be accepted: 79 iBT or 550 PBT.

About the Program
The M.S.Ed. with a concentration in Career and Technical Education is viewed as an advanced degree for career and technical educators, work-force development professionals, and technical trainers in business and industry. Candidates with teaching backgrounds are expected to hold initial certification in their specialty area (e.g., agriculture education, business education, family and consumer sciences education, industrial education, marketing education, and technology or technical education). Advanced and specialist certificates for career and technical education in business education, industrial education, and marketing education are available through this program.

Some elective courses are offered at the Ambler, Harrisburg, and Center City campuses.
Full-Time/Part-Time Status:
Students are able to complete the degree program on a part-time basis (8 credit hours or less per semester) through classes offered after 4:30 p.m.
