OWLbox/box keeps version history just in case you overwrote a file or accidentally deleted a document.

To access a file's version history:

  1. Select the More Options dropdown list for the desired file
  2. Highlight Properties
  3. Select Version History from the File Properties menu
  4. From there, you will find several versions you can review, make current, or download for reference.

OWLbox retains the last 10 versions of a file by default. After a file reaches 10 versions, the oldest version is moved to the trash with each new version that is saved.

Older file versions that have been moved to the trash can be recovered if they have not exceeded the 90 day retention period for deleted items. When a previously deleted version of a file is restored, the next oldest version is moved to the trash.
