Admission Requirements and Deadlines
Application Deadline:
Fall: March 15
Spring: September 30
Completed applications are processed throughout the year as
they are received. The Admissions Committee then reviews
them. The Admissions Committee will review no application
until the application is complete. International students
who miss the December 15 deadline are required to submit
to Temple University an evaluation of their transcript by
an approved educational evaluation firm.
Letters of Reference:

From Whom: Letters of recommendation should be obtained from college/university
faculty members familiar with academic competence and/or
immediate work supervisor.
Coursework Required for Admission Consideration:
Any student who has not received, in the last six years, a
business degree from an AACSB accredited business school is
required to take six foundation courses: Accounting, Economics,
Finance, Statistics, Marketing, and Management Science / Operations
Management prior to beginning the program in late August. These
six courses are offered in a special condensed program the
summer preceding admission to the program. The summer program
lasts 12 weeks and begins in late May. Additionally, two years
of work experience is highly recommended. The work does not
need to be in a technology field.

Statement of Goals: Applicants for the M.B.A. program are expected to submit a Statement
of Goals that describes future goals in specific terms. Applicants
should avoid use of generalizations or blanket statements.
The Statement of Goals should address how the M.B.A. will assist
in achieving the applicant's goals.
Standardized Test Scores:
The GMAT is required. Applicants to the M.B.A. program should
ideally have attained a total GMAT score of 600 or higher.
Applicants with GMAT scores below 550 are encouraged to re-take
the GMAT examination.
Minimum TOEFL score or range of scores needed
to be accepted:
230 on the computerized exam or 575 on the paper exam. Students
scoring less than 600 on the paper-based TOEFL or 250 on the
computer-based TOEFL are required to take the SPEAK test and
may be required to take an English course to improve communication
skills.
Resume:A resume is required.

All classes are held during the day on the main campus, in
a fully wired classroom.

Students are required to complete the degree program through
classes offered before 4:30 p.m.

All courses in the M.B.A./M.S. in Information Technology Management program are required
to be taken at the Fox School of Business. This M.B.A./M.S. is a lock-step, cohort program. In addition to the 18 credits
of required foundation courses and the 12 credits in Advanced
Managerial Perspectives, M.B.A./M.S. in E-Business students are
required to take:

All M.B.A./M.S. in Information Technology Management candidates are required to complete
a summer integrative experience in the summer between the first
and second year. The experience includes an internship, business
plan incubator project, independent study, or faculty research.
Internship: Yes, an internship is required. Students are required complete
an integrative summer experience that can include an internship
or could be business plan development, independent study,
or research project. The majority of students seek internships.
Students are given numerous networking activities throughout
the year to provide potential contacts for internships.
Language Examination: No language examination is required.
Additional Requirements:EBZ 570 and EBZ 571 are one credit courses
for career and professional development
that include corporate networking, e-Business
breakfasts, speakers series, etc.
Culminating Events:
Capstone Course Sequence:
Students are required
to successfully complete the capstone course
sequence. The purpose of the
capstone sequence is to ensure that M.B.A.
candidates have mastered the skills necessary
to conduct business analysis. The capstone sequence
is graded in the normal manner by the instuctor.

About the Program
The Fox School of Business and Management
offers M.B.A. programs that help develop a solid
understanding of business models created by
the synergistic forces of globalization, entrepreneurship
and information technology. Our approach to
graduate education helps develop practical
expertise through case analysis, presentations,
interaction with business practitioners, and
team projects. The Fox School prepares students
to step immediately into key management roles
in highly specialized fields. The Fox School
is the region's second largest business graduate
school with over 1300 students studying in
16 areas of concentration including management
information systems and e-business. Prior to beginning the M.B.A./M.S. in Information
Technology Management program, applicants are required to complete
six foundation courses: accounting, finance,
economics, statistics, marketing and managment
science. The Fox School grants waivers for
these courses for any applicant who has received
an undergraduate business degree from an AACSB
accredited school. For other applicants they
should plan to complete the required foundation
courses in the summer preceding the M.B.A./M.S.
program or they may take a waiver examination.

The Fox School of Business and Management
is currently ranked in the top 75 business
schools by Forbes and in the top 50 programs
for our Executive M.B.A. The Fox School has

Non-Degree Student Policy:
The M.B.A./M.S. in Information
Technology Management program
is a cohort program that takes two consecutive
years to complete. Due to the cohort nature
of the program, it can not be begun as a non-matriculated
student.

Financing Opportunities
The Fox School of Business and Management
has a limited number of graduate externships
for assignments in academic and administrative
departments. Work assignments are generally
administrative in nature and may include word
and data processing. An externship provides
up to 20 hours of service per week. Students
are required to submit applications directly
to the department in which they wish to be
appointed
